Imanol Ruiz de Lara is a director born in Madrid and raised in Gijón, in a family of actors where he discovered his passion for narrative and the power of images as a means of artistic expression. After seven years working in television as an editor, he decided to venture professionally as a director into the world of fashion films, collaborating with platforms such as Vogue.es and brands such as Adolfo Domínguez and Yves Saint Laurent. In the world of advertising he debuted with his work Collisions for Heart Ibiza, which placed him on the Cannes shortlist. With his fashion film Europa II he was awarded Best Film and Best Director at the La Jolla International Fashion Film Festival. With the campaign Essential Viewing , for Cosmo TV, he won a Gold for Best Direction and a Silver for Best Promo at the Promax Global. His latest fashion film, Haunted by Love, has just received six nominations at the La Jolla IFFF and two awards: Best Director and Best Choreography. In the field of fiction, Imanol has directed several short films, including 17 minutes with Nora, currently on the festival circuit where it has already won numerous selections and awards.
