Elena Trapé

Elena Trapé, born in Barcelona, ​​has a degree in Film and Video Direction from the University of Barcelona / Escola Superior de Cinema i Audiovisuales de Catalunya-ESCAC. Professionally, he combines his teaching activity at ESCAC with advertising. "no quiero la noche" was her graduation project and her first 35mm short film. "Pijamas" is his second short film. In the summer of 2008 he shot "La Ruina", his first tv-movie released in 2009 and nominated for best film for television at the Gaudí Awards 2010. In 2010 he finished "Blog", his debut feature, written and shot thanks to the Ópera prima project. from ESCAC and reception at the San Sebastián festival. In 2015 he released the documentary "Palabras, mapas y otras cosas", a portrait of the filmmaker Isabel Coixet. In 2017 he filmed Las Distancias / Les Distàncies in Berlin. The film was the absolute winner of the Malaga Film Festival in its twenty-first edition held in April 2018 by winning both the Golden Biznaga for best Spanish film and the Silver Biznaga for best director.
