Cesc Gay is a filmmaker, screenwriter and theatrical author born in Barcelona. He studied cinema at the EMAV (Municipal Audiovisual School of Barcelona). He made his debut as director in 1998 with his work "Hotel Room". In 2000 he was chosen to take to the cinema the play "Krámpack", also making his adaptation. With his film "En la ciudad" (2003), the success of the public and critics comes to him. The film is nominated for four Goya awards, including the best director and best screenplay award. In 2006, he premiered "Ficción", a film with which he was awarded the National Film Prize granted by the Generalitat of Catalonia in 2007. He has been nominated to Goya awards for films such as "Krámpack" or "En la ciudad". And with the movie "Truman", he won the Goya for best director and best original script in 2015. He has also worked for Catalan television, being the creator of the series "Jet lag". He has also carried out advertising campaigns for the Generalitat de Catalunya, among others. He is currently immersed in the "Felix" series for Movistar Plus television."
